So you've talked to Mary and she has set you up with the best health insurance available for your family.

Awesome.

Now it's time to pick a Doctor, or find a provider.

This is also useful if you are seeking specific treatment, or have a referral and want to ensure you are covered.

Bellow are links to web portals for each of the major insurance companies you can use to find your doctor.

Here are some general tips:

  1. If you want to keep the doctor or provider you already have, call their office and ask if they accept your coverage.
  2. This is a great video that covers finding a provider in a general sense.
  3. Ask around! Your friends, family or co-workers might know a good local doctor or specialist. Once you have a lead, look them up to see if they accept your coverage.
